Reccession Woes

I really wish this reccession would just be over already so that I won't feel so guilty when I moan and grumble about my current job situation. I am grateful that I still have a job, but right now I absolutely HATE the station where I am working. I know there are plenty of people out there right now jobless so that's where the guilt comes in cause I'm sure they would be so thankful to have any job right now. I should be happy I still have one.

Woe is me!

I won't say exactly where I work but I'll give you clues as to what company:
"We Deliver For You"is one of their slogans and they want to cut down from six day to five day delivery to save money.

Eyelash Ease

I wanted to put on some fake lashes today, but I normally have great difficulty applying those strips. I usually have to resort to getting the individual lashes, but I hate getting those done because they're hell to come off.

During my lunch hour, I ventured over to the local Duane Reade, and lo and behold what do I discover????!!!!!!

The Modlash Starter Kit complete with an applicator. I rushed home to try it out, and to my amazement, it actually seems to work. I find it easier to apply the lashes with the applicator than with my fingers or the tweezers.

Check out your local drug store if you're having difficulty and see if they work for you.

It's Been A Long Time

Wow..... it feels like ages since I've made an entry on this, but I've figured its high time I put forth an effort. I've been super busy with the holidays and, I've also been getting a steady amount of orders for my Slocks (woohoo).

Christmas was a treat this year. I received some Jessica Simpson boots that I love, a Gucci Bag with a belt to match, and my long coveted grey Uggs!

I can't complain, but I sure do hope 2009 is a better year for me (career and relationship wise)!!!

I love Victoria Beckham, but this picture does NOT make me want to purchase a pair of her jeans, as she is shown modeling her DVB line.

It's Been A While

OMG!!!!! Its been some time since I've posted a new entry. I've been super busy with work (the 9-5, not Etsy unfortunately). I did, however, find a few moments to make these new "slocks" as I like to call them. They are crochet slipper-socks. They are so comfortable and warm. I made my daughter several pairs and she seems to enjoy wearing them.

I also had a chance to listen to the radio this morning, and heard one of Ms. B's new songs "Single Ladies." LOOOOVE it. Her other single though, "If I Were A Boy", not so much. Maybe it will grow on me. Toodles.

Double Trouble

I posted a new item today on my Etsy page. My mini model was not cooperating with me. You can see her screaming at me in the picture. I have to take some new pictures when she's in a better mood. My computer has also been acting up for the past couple of days. I just got it last year for christmas and its already being strange. Luckily its still under warranty.

So Sad

In case you didn't hear by now, Travis Barker and DJ AM were seriously injured in a plane crash in South Carolina late Friday night. They were the only two people to survive. There were four other people on the plane who died. Let's say a prayer for a safe and speedy recovery for the both of them, and RIP to the others.
